I am an American
Of this I am proud
To stand up and salute
Our Red, White and Blue.

My heart is breaking
for this monstrosity that has occured.
But to slink back and hide,
I say not! Rest Assured!

Our Country is strong,
United in Spirit.
Standing straight and tall
Together as one
We will not fall.

We hurt, we cry our tears,
And yes, we even have our fears.
But remember this, A Nation we are proud,
We stand together, United... ONE and ALL,
and will not be cowed.

On September 11, 2001 New York City, the twin towers of the World Trade Centre, were attacked by Terrorist using American planes ramming them into the towers. Shortly after, the Pentagon was struck. Many lives have been lost. This is a most unjust horrific act which will not be overlooked. This is an act of War. Our country instead of falling apart is pulling together. God Bless America!
