The Garden of Friendship is having its very first birthday, July 1.
All sorts of games and contest are planned for an entire week
of fun. Alas, I will not be here for that week and will miss
out on most of the fun, but there are some that are already
going on, so I am getting to play some.

One of the contests was a Cake Decorating Contest. Below you will
see the cake I decorated and entered into the contest.

Another game that will be going on, which I won't be able to
participate in, is the Garden Party. This game is going to
be so much fun...It consists of Party Hosts and Party Guests.
The hosts names and emails will be listed on a page for the guests
to send an email and then the guests sit back and watch the gifts
roll in. You are able to be a host and a guest and the gifts can be
adoptions or graphics you have made. I would have loved to participate
in this one. *Sigh*

Then we have the Garden Capture game. This is game that is
a whole bunch of fun! You go to the page and fill out a form to have
your friend turned into one of the seven flowers they have. Then your
friend gets a placque showing what flower they were turned into. I think
I may be able to play this one. Oh boy, do I ever have a list of friends
to turn in. *Giggles*

Then there was the Poetry and Essay Contest. I say was because
deadline is today and I just could not get my brain to clicking. But
I still have the rest of the day to do it in...

There is also the Special Birthday Page being made for GOF.
Everyone has been invited to make or adopt a gift for this page.
It will be awesome to see it. Here is the gift I have made from
the Graphics Committee.

We also have a place to submit our Garden of Friendship Birthday
Dedication Page, which I am going to do with this one if I
complete it on time. *G*

There is also a Birthday Graphics Contest. This has to be an
original graphic no larger than 300x300. The winning graphic will be
available for all members to place on their page in remembrance of
Garden of Friendship's First Birthday.

I got to go ahead and play the Word Search game because Denise took
pity on me since I was not going to be able to be here. When I finished
I sent her an email and she sent me this award placque, telling me I
couldn't have the first place award as the game had not actually started
yet. I was really surprised to get this and I proudly display it here.

I put together a Word Scrambler game and Deelight is going to post
it. I do hope everyone has fun with it. I know there are other games and
contests planned and going on. This Birthday Bash is so much fun and
everyone has a chance to really get in on it and just flat enjoy themselves.

The Capture Game has started early and I have been captured by Squeak.
She had me turned into a Daisy. The reason she gave was "Because she is
always fresh as a daisy." I received this in the mail this morning, 6/29/2001.
